There's a saying that is often used when rare things happen: "once in a blue moon". This saying literally came true for our family. Austin and I were scheduled to have our twins September 14th. However, things never go according to plan, right?
On August 31st, blue moon night, we found ourselves traveling to the hospital anticipating being sent home for false labor. We joked that this may be one of those "once in a blue moon" moments for us and surprisingly... we were right.
Our girl, Sarah Elizabeth Green, was born first at 1:23 a.m. on September 1st. She was 4 lbs. 14 oz. Our boy, Coulson Cowley Green, was born at 1:27 a.m. He was 5 lbs. 11 oz. Neither Austin or I received much sleep that night, but we couldn't think of a more appropriate way of celebrating our
Labor Day weekend.
