Babies In the Making

Yes, babies are coming. However, we have found out it is just going to cost us close to 30,000 dollars to make that happen. Ya, I know. Yikes!

Over the past couple of years now we have shelled out a thousand dollars here and a thousand dollars there, without much success. Our financial records indicate we have now reached about 4,000 dollars in pregnancy related costs. Several failed pregnancy attempts and uncomfortable tests have led us to an endocrinologist, fertility specialist, located in Sandy, Utah.

Our endocrinologist has informed us after looking over the past two years of testing, that IVF, or In Vitro Fertilization, is our best option of getting pregnant. However, we are at that place where a lot of couples in our predicament need to decide if it is worth paying the costs associated with IVF.
What did we decide?

Austin and I have decided to forge ahead with the IVF option. Our fertility doctor informed us of a guarantee option to take a baby home or we get our money back. However, it is going to cost a pretty penny to say the least.

So, babies are in the making, we are just going about it on the road less traveled by.

Austin, and Amanda- We do understand what it all costs just to have a baby... We suffer from secondary Infertility (Meaning a 1st pregnancy, but unable to get pregnant again). I know that it is stessful and hard to go through. Please talk to us for anymore support, because we do know and understand deeply. Also, which clinic are u guys going through?? We haven't done IFV because of the costs as well. You are both in our prayers and that you will be able to achieve what you both desire most. Brian, and Leandra McFarlane.

I talked to Grandma this afternoon and she said you are being creative and finding some new ideas to pursue. Good luck to you both! Your experience reminds me of how difficult it was to get our first two boys here - but things eventually worked out (obviously!) I know you'll be blessed. Let us know what we can do...

I just read through your blog and wish you great success in raising money for IVF. Would it be okay if I posted a link to your fundraising site on my blog? Your baby sandals are my favorite!
