Gardening 101

Austin and I thought we would try our hands at gardening this year. We have learned some valuable lessons for our future green thumb ventures.

1. We learned not to bite off more than we can chew. (No that is not just an unkempt backyard. That is our garden plot).

2. After rotter tilling for three hours, make sure you spray the weeds with weed killer and let the weeds die. Then plant your garden. Otherwise your garden will have mounds of weeds that look like this:

3. All things grow with love (At least we're hoping so).

You gotta start somewhere - the ground sure looks like it could use some organic material in it - think about composting ;-)
